Duration: June 2021 – June 2023

The iDream project is an innovative intervention which will respond to the emerging issues impacting the training sector resulting from the European and worldwide pandemic COVID-19 and will support trainers, tutors & educators navigate the switch to digital training.

It has been designed to deliver high level outcomes to participants and respond to the priorities in Vocational Education & Training. As a result of the global pandemic, the education and training community advanced circa 5 years in technological techniques in an 8 weeks period.

Digital strategies were introduced almost overnight to ensure learning did not come to a complete halt, allowing what could continue, to be flipped to an online platform. During this period there was a varying range of quality in digital provision, which demonstrated the need of comprehensive overhaul of the digital delivery methodology going forward and to improve the digital readiness competencies of tutors/teachers.

This project delivers INNOVATIVE PRACTICES IN A DIGITAL ERA to which will encounter as we emerge from lock down and social distancing. Blended learning has been well received during COVID, and accepted as a format which is now seen as accessible to learners who have difficulty accessing training – for instance due to disability or caring responsibilities eg. those who were shielding. Blended and digital learning brings flexibility previously not available – recording lessons etc.
